His practice centers on preventative, implant, restorative and cosmetic dental care. Robert is a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. He is involved with dental study clubs along with holding many other dental affiliations at the local and national level. He has also held many positions in these organizations, including President of the Greater New Bedford Dental Society. Robert is proud that he had been selected by Clinical Research Associates (CRA) to be a clinical field evaluator. These volunteer positions are limited to 400 dentists located  throughout the world. CRA is a well respected non-profit organization. Its mission is to provide information, education and practical data for dentists about new and improved dental materials, devices and techniques–so they may better serve their patients. He has earned a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (F.A.G.D.).  The F.A.G.D. is an honor bestowed on a very small percentage of dentists across the country. It is for dentists who have completed a significant amount of advanced dental education over a course of five years,  as well as demonstrating proficiency through a series of exams.  Robert is also proud of the affiliation he has had with the American Academy of Cosmetic dentistry. He believes that, with advances in dental techniques, people should be able to keep their natural teeth for a lifetime. His goal is to work with you to attain this. He looks forward to talking with you about working together to enhance your oral health and the beauty of your smile. Outside the office, Robert enjoys skiing, playing golf and tennis. His favorite time is that spent with his wife, Leslea (the author of Decorating on a Mini-Budget), and their two sons, David and Scott, daughters-in-law, doctors Jordana and Natalie and two very precious granddaughters — Rachel and Maya.

Picture of Dr. Scott Harelick in front of signScott earned a doctorate from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Tufts University. He also attended Harvard University’s Post Baccalaureate Program. Scott started his career at Tufts Dental with a merit scholarship for his high achievement on his national dental boards. Scott also enjoyed being a teaching assistant while at Tufts to train dentists in using nitrous oxide sedation. Scott has worked in dental offices starting at 16 years old doing everything from assisting to administrative work. He particularly enjoys attending continuing education seminars and the dental conventions where he can analyze the advanced technology. Scott has a particular interest in new dental technology and has ensured that Harelick Dental Associates remains on the leading edge of dental medicine. Scott loves all phases of dentistry. He is committed to providing the highest quality of care to his patients in a friendly and comfortable environment. Outside of work, Scott enjoys skiing, playing tennis, biking and golf.

Natalie and Scott met the very first day of dental school. It was love at first sight for both of them! After surviving (but enjoying) four years of classes, tests, boards and clinic together, they knew their life together was meant to be! At Tufts Dental, their talent for cosmetic dentistry was recognized as early as their first year. Coincidentally, they were both proud to be among the select few (10 students out of 161) chosen for the honors Prosthodontics Program. — Natalie and Scott were taught special accelerated skills that they re-taught to their classmates. Natalie and Scott are members of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Greater New Bedford Dental Society. Currently, Natalie and Scott are enrolled in a Master’s Track Program. This is a highly esteemed program which offers advanced training in all aspects of state-of-the art dentistry. It involves over a thousand hours of continuing education, hundreds of hours of hands-on courses and exams. Scott will be among one of the youngest dentists in the country to obtain the honor of his Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry (M.A.G.D.) and it appears that Natalie will be the youngest dentist to ever receive a M.A.G.D.! Right now, Natalie and Scott consider their biggest accomplishment to be the darling new member of their family, Maya Isabelle—“soon to be the next Dr. Harelick!”
Harelick Dental Associates was proud to receive the Consumers’ Research Council of America’s Top Dentists Award for the last 6 years. The Harelicks totally enjoy volunteering their time to help people in desperate need of dental treatment. They sponsor programs like a Free Dental Care Day, the Tooth Fairy Program as well as a dental surgery implant mission to the Dominican Republic. Robert, Natalie and Scott greatly enjoy sharing their skills and expertise in dentistry. The three Dr. Harelicks are passionate about dentistry and always strive for perfection. Since they all have their own expertise in dentistry— from implants and root canals to extractions and cosmetics —most cases are handled from start to finish in our building. If the case is beyond their comfort-level, they refer to wonderful dental specialist in the area. The Harelicks truly enjoy their patients and are elated to be practicing state-of-the- art dentistry together for many years to come.
