What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is the invisible
way to gradually straighten teeth without metal wires or braces.

new reason to smile. Invisalign works through a series of invisible, removable,
and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you are wearing--- you can smile

How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign uses 3-D computer imaging technology to depict the complete treatment plan from the initial position to the final desired position. From this imaging a series of custom-made, clear "aligners" are produced. Each aligner is worn sequentially by the patient to produce the desired tooth movements Each aligner is worn for about two weeks, then replaced by the next in the series until the final position is achieved.
Can Invisalign treat my teeth?
Dr. Harelick will advise you on whether or not you are a candidate for Invisalign. He may refer you to an orthodontist if the movements you need require traditional metal braces.
How long does the treatment take?
Total treatment time varies on the amount of movement that is needed--average time is 6-18 months.
Will Invisalign discolor my teeth?
No. You are able to maintain your normal oral hygiene routine with Invisalign. However, at the end of your Invisalign treatment, Dr Harelick includes an at home bleaching treatment to further enhance your beautiful smile.

What do I have to do?
If it looks like Invisalign is an option for you, we will take photographs, impressions of your teeth, and x-rays. This will allow Dr. Harelick to plan out your treatment. At your next visit we will actually be able to show you how your teeth will move week by week -from start to finish- on the computer. It is really amazing to see!
